RLUSD Lifts XRPL Stablecoin Supply Past $1 Billion in Q3 2026

TLDR:

XRPL stablecoin supply topped $1.03 billion in Q3 as transfer value rose 39.5% to $14.09 billion, according to Blockworks Research.
RLUSD grew 49.7% to $1.01 billion and represented 98.1% of the XRP Ledger’s stablecoin liquidity, concentrating the quarter’s growth.
Stablecoin transfers require XRPL fees and account reserves in XRP, but their growth does not prove users bought XRP in proportion.
EGRAG’s chart assigned a 50% chance to a 1.03-1.12 retest and treated the other price paths as technical judgments, not certainties.

The XRP Ledger’s stablecoin economy crossed $1 billion for the first time in Q3. The XRPL stablecoin supply rose 25.2% to $1.03 billion. Quarterly transfers climbed 39.5% to $14.09 billion, Blockworks Research said on October 30. Ripple USD (RLUSD) drove the expansion.
Its supply rose 49.7% to $1.01 billion, giving it 98.1% of the ledger’s stablecoin liquidity. The figures support XRPL’s push into financial infrastructure but do not prove XRP buying. Dollar tokens move across the ledger, while users need XRP for fees and reserves. Ledger activity and token demand are different measures.
How RLUSD Drove XRPL Stablecoin Supply Above $1 Billion
That concentration matters. RLUSD supplied nearly all dollar liquidity measured on XRPL at quarter-end. The XRPL stablecoin supply therefore reflects one issuer’s minting, distribution, and user demand. It is a strong market share, but not evidence that several stablecoins compete for use.
Ripple is extending RLUSD distribution through announced channels. Robinhood plans to add it to its retail app. Ripple and C2FO also announced an invoice-financing service using RLUSD on XRPL. C2FO’s platform has facilitated more than $250 billion in working capital, but that is not onchain volume. The service remains limited; future activity is unknown.
RLUSD operates across chains. September data placed more of its supply on Ethereum than XRPL. The XRPL stablecoin supply milestone therefore does not mean the ledger hosts most RLUSD overall. Ripple also targets a $900 million annualized product revenue run rate by year-end and received final U.S. approval for a national trust bank. Those steps expand Ripple’s institutional reach, but do not directly show XRP buying.
Why XRPL Stablecoin Supply Does Not Guarantee XRP Demand
XRP still has a role in network operations. Each XRPL transaction requires a small fee in XRP, and accounts must hold XRP reserves. Those requirements create functional use, but stablecoin holders need not buy large XRP balances. The XRPL stablecoin supply can rise without an equal increase in XRP exposure. Actual token demand depends on fees, account growth, and user behavior.
Blockworks’ Q3 report on XRPL stablecoin supply said the native Lending Protocol had entered its final validator vote. If approved and activated, it could support credit markets using stablecoins and tokenized assets. Earlier proposals describe pooled assets and fixed-term loans. But the vote did not confirm launch or quantify XRP needed for lending. The effect on XRP demand will depend on the design and adoption.
An analyst’s separate chart offered a short-term XRP scenario. EGRAG marked 1.03-1.12 as a possible support retest and assigned that path 50% probability. He gave a 35% chance to a range between $1.12 and $1.49. He assigned 15% to an early move toward 1.49-1.65.

EGRAG said a decisive three-day close above $1.65 would change his outlook. A sustained fall below $1.03 would weaken the fractal. He described the probabilities as technical judgment, not statistical certainty. The chart showed XRP below the 50-day and 200-day EMAs, without a bearish crossover.
XRP ETPs recorded $355.3 million in net inflows, up 39.6%. Assets under management hit $3.32 billion by quarter-end. That offers a separate XRP investment signal. Blockworks reported stablecoin transfer volume, not unique users or organic adoption. The report does not identify how much came from recurring commercial settlements.
Ripple’s Robinhood and C2FO plans could widen distribution if customers adopt them. Their actual activity, and any Lending Protocol launch, remain to be seen. For now, XRPL stablecoin supply growth records ledger liquidity; it does not establish a matching XRP investment bid.
