Pi Network Expands Ecosystem with 20 New Apps

Pi Network, a controversial cryptocurrency, just recently added 20 new decentralized applications (dapps) to its ecosystem. This expansion is part of Pi Network’s ongoing mission. It aims to empower its users, known as Pioneers. The goal is to offer them with more utilities and opportunities.

The Ecosystem

The new dapps are accessible through the Pi Browser’s Ecosystem Interface. This marks a transition from Testnet to Mainnet applications. This means Pioneers can now use real Pi tokens for transactions within these dapps. The 20 dapps cover a range of functionalities, including e-commerce, gaming, and smart contracts. This variety aims to enhance the overall utility of Pi tokens. It provides Pioneers with more ways to engage with the Pi Network.

Current KYC Progress

Pi Network has successfully onboarded over 18 million Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verified users, surpassing its original target of 15 million. Yet, only 8 million of these users have migrated to the mainnet, falling short of the 10 million migration target. Also the recent upgrades have significantly increased the speed of KYC resolutions.

They have also improved mainnet migrations. Nearly 200,000 pioneers migrated in the last day. They have extended grace period deadlines to January 31, 2025. This extension provides more time for pioneers to secure their Pi Coins before the transition to mainnet.

As Pi Network gears up for its Open Network launch, its ecosystem will expand. This expansion is expected to attract more users. It will also draw in developers. This will foster a vibrant and innovative community.
